NLP and Dealing with Problems in Motivation Strategy
let’s look at the problems with decision making strategies. Sometimes people have
problems generating options in making a decision and that might mean there’s no visual construct, there’s not enough options or choices and they might have an either or choice.
Often times clients limit themselves with an exclusive ‘or’ and that’s where they say, “I’ll have to do this or that. I can’t decide whether I should do this or that” and the answer of course is that they could do lots of other things other than just this or that. Sometimes clients limit themselves by only having one choice. In any case you can also add in a number of choices by simply changing the decision making strategy.
Another possibility of course is the person generates too many choices with no way to exit and no way to get out and these are the people who say, “Oh I’ve got so many things I could do but I can’t possibly decide about what I want to do.” So all of those can be cleaned up by simply changing the strategy and you have to talk to the client and find out if it’s, if you need to change the chunk size or whatever you need to change.
There may be a problem representing what the options are in the decision making strategy. Options may not be represented in all representational systems which make it difficult to evaluate them. The person may need to go external to get data to represent the options; and options and criteria may not be revised according to what’s doing on in their environment so they may have outdated options or criteria. All of those can be cleared up by simply having the person go external. The problems may include evaluating the options. There may be criteria for selection which are inappropriate or the criteria or values may not be prioritised. Generally when a client is a criteria problem, criteria are considered sequentially and separately rather than simultaneously and a polarity response is an example.
Generally if a person has criteria problems it may be necessary to go and fix those in working with values and the problem is that we’re now beginning to move in more details and values. The person may not get an overall evaluation of each criteria. So those are some possibilities that could result in problems with decision making strategies
NLP and the Body physiology
We all have a different way of communicating in this article we are going to be looking at
how different representational system work. By seeing what representational system the person has will allow you to communicate with them on that level.
V: Visual
People who are visual often stand or sit with their heads and or their bodies erect, with their eyes up. They will be breathing from the top of their lungs. They often sit forward in their chair and tend to be organized, neat, well-groomed and orderly. They are often thin and wiry. They memorize by seeing pictures, and are less distracted by noise. They often have trouble remembering verbal instructions because their minds tend to wander. A visual person will be interested in how your programs LOOKS. Appearances are important to them.
A: Auditory
People who are auditory move their eyes sideways they breathe from middle of chest, typically talk to themselves, some even move their lips when they talk to themselves. They repeat things back, like music, memories by steps and even sequences, like to be told how they are doing, interested to hear what you have to say, distracted by noise, learn by listening. Interested to HEAR what you’ve got to say about your program.

Understanding the unconscious mind
In the world of NLP its coming to terms that there is such a thing as the unconscious mind is a new and different thought for some people. It is the unconscious that makes the changes that we want to make. All change happens at a unconscious level. Giving the conscious mind an idea of what the unconscious is. One definition could be that the unconscious is the part of your mind that you are not conscious of right now. Not conscious of some noises around me, my eyes blinking, breathing and beating of my heart. Now when we create change, the changes we create are going to happen in conjunction with unconscious at an unconscious level.
Here is a list what the unconscious mind does:
1.Unconscious mind stores our memories in relationship to time/ plus not in relation to time all Connectedness and relationships are created at unconscious level. Temporal (in relationship to time) our timeline, Atemporal (not in relationship to time)
2. Is the domain of the emotions? This is where emotions appear – although we are conscious of our emotions.
